what happens when you forsake your family? your belonging? bluring the line between modeling and photo essay, there was an intention here of frantically converging intimacy. the subject, floating somewhere between boy, man, and cultural iconoclast, allows the viewer in. painful repulsion causes us to take dastric measures — where does this liminal male-bodied character come from? what would he rather we not know? where does the escapism end and the identify-forging begin?
